Freelance Artist

I have been involved in various freelance projects, including portrait commissions, custom paintings, web design, logo design, photo retouching, Photoshop lessons, brochures, newsletters, and business card design.

CACI (formerly American Management Systems, Inc.)
Web Developer, Graphic Artist, Instructional Designer; 08/00 – 11/05
I performed multi-functional roles on distance learning and software development projects, working with clients such as JROTC, Navy, Army, Coast Guard, and Marine Corps. I was responsible for developing online courseware, including interfaces, graphics, instructive and interactive animations, and narration. I designed lesson plans for Army JROTC curriculum, and developed corresponding multimedia. I met with clients to determine revisions necessary for existing online learning courses and implemented revisions to storyboards, scripts, multimedia, and web pages. I also edited and revised content for textbooks, which corresponded with our Distance Learning curriculum. I was responsible for designing the Help system for AFJROTC Headquarters Management System and Cadet Inventory Management System. I have also created various graphics, layouts, marketing materials, and brochures for various clients.

I designed custom websites from start to finish for a wide variety of clients. I developed interface, navigation, and graphics for websites and met with clients to discuss layout ideas. I maintained and modified existing websites, according to client specifications. I was also responsible for the production of all in-house marketing material.
                                                                                                       
Military Newspapers of Virginia
Graphic Artist; 01/98 - 11/99
I designed advertisements and layouts, as well as digitally retouched photographs for several weekly military newspapers. I coordinated the printing of the weekly Air Force newspaper and assisted in the weekly printing of six other publications. I worked closely with clients and colleagues to meet tight deadlines.
